# Document Won't Upload

If your document won't upload, here's how to diagnose and fix it.

## Check the Basics

**File size:** Maximum is 10MB. Compress large PDFs or split them.

**File format:** Supported formats are PDF, DOCX, XLSX, TXT, MD, PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP.

**File name:** Avoid special characters. Rename to something simple like `brand-guidelines.pdf`.

## Common Issues

### "File type not supported"
You're trying to upload an unsupported format. Convert to PDF or a supported format.

### "File too large"
Reduce file size:
- For PDFs: Use a PDF compressor
- For images: Reduce resolution or use JPEG instead of PNG
- For large documents: Split into multiple smaller files

### Upload starts but never finishes
- Check your internet connection
- Try a different browser
- Clear browser cache and try again

### "Permission denied"
You don't have write access to the selected access tier. Ask an Admin or Owner to upload it, or choose a tier you can access.
