# Knowledge Management for Agencies | heykiku

heykiku lets agencies upload documents, import from Google Drive, and tag by sensitivity to build an AI-searchable knowledge base — with approval before anything goes live.

## Frequently asked questions

### What file types can I upload?

PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, plain text, Markdown, and images (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP). Images and scanned PDFs are processed with OCR so kiku can read the text inside them.

### How does the approval workflow work?

When you upload a document, kiku extracts the content and holds it for review. You or an admin checks the extraction, edits if needed, then approves. Only approved documents enter the AI-searchable knowledge base. Nothing gets cited without a human sign-off.

### Can I import from Google Drive?

Yes. Connect your Google Drive and select the files you want. They go through the same approval workflow as uploaded files — kiku extracts the content, you review, then approve.

### What happens when I tag a document as sensitive?

The document enters the sensitive library. Only admins and owners can access it through kiku. Employees see general and internal documents. Freelancers see general only. The AI enforces these boundaries at the search level.

### Can freelancers upload documents?

That depends on their permissions. Workspace owners control who can write (upload and edit) and who can approve. A freelancer with write access can upload, but only someone with approval permissions can make it searchable by the AI.
